Our Services

We aren’t like other auto shops in the Denver Metro Area. And because of that, well, we aren’t like other auto shops! We believe in fairness, respect, and personal choice. We want you to have options, not just a take-it-or-leave-it dollar amount.

We offer competitive prices on all parts at Good Judy Garage, typically beating store prices. Our oil change labor rate is a flat $25.00. Added to the labor rate of oil changes will be our cost price (we don’t mark-up these things, either) for your choice of oil and filter options. Some may be on a standard option budget, some may want premier options! It’s your choice to make, not ours!

Our car repair labor rate is industry average at $140/hr, but there’s nothing average about us. We will take the time to explain what your vehicle needs and why, and give you different cost options for parts, and when options are available. We’ll tell you our professional opinion on what needs repair or service, but will never be pushy, and will always respect your choices.

We charge labor hours based on what’s called “book time” - the standard time it takes a well-trained mechanic to make the repair you need on your vehicle type. We use this method to be fair and charge the same labor rate for all, and you’ll know the total labor cost upfront. We will work with you to the best of our ability to schedule major vehicle repairs in stages, if needed, when it’s safe to do so!

What Auto Repair Services We Offer

We get a lot of questions about what auto repair services we perform. At this time, we are able to do most mechanical repairs (engine, transmission, brakes, headlight changes, etc) and maintenance services (oil change, brake fluid, flat tire repair, etc).

What we don’t do (yet) is auto body work. Paint, dent repair, glass repair, etc is a different type of work and requires different equipment, follows different regulations, and our current space doesn’t allow for a paint booth, filtration system, etc that would be necessary. We hope to offer this in the future, and in the meantime are in the process of vetting auto body shops that we can refer you too with confidence on the quality of their work and their treatment of you!

Additional Information on Auto Services We Offer:

Oil Changes - We recommend getting an oil change every 5,000 miles. This is good general car maintenance and can help prevent engine problems down the road. During our oil change we also do a general inspection of your vehicle. This includes checking brakes, tire pressure, the air filter, and topping off fluids.

Alignments - An alignment can affect the way your tires wear and how straight your vehicle is driving. Some signs you may need an alignment: your vehicle is pulling to the right or left, uneven or fast tire wear, or the steering wheel being crooked when you are driving straight.

Mechanical Repairs - We work on all kinds of vehicles and engines. We are able to take a look at any engine, transmission, and suspension issues and will give you our honest diagnostic opinion and estimate on repairs. We also replace brakes and rotors.

Tune Up Services - We offer a variety of tune up services including replacing spark plugs, timing belts, transmission flushes, brake flushes, and general engine maintenance and upkeep.

Tire balancing - Balancing your tires is important as it distributes the weight in your tires equally to improve drivability and performance by eliminating vibration, and ensuring they wear evenly.

Tire rotation - Having your tires rotated regularly helps ensure an even wear on your tires to lengthen the life of your tires. We recommend having your tires rotated about every other oil change.

Flat tire - If you have a slow leak due to a puncture in the tire, we can patch your tire for you.*

*To qualify for a patch, the puncture must be no bigger than ¼” in diameter, and cannot be on the shoulder or the sidewall of the tire.
